Conference

Date: 11/11/2021

For the 2021 ISESSAH online conference, several members of the AMAGRI teams presented a paper based on their current research on the developement of preventive veteriary medicine in France. Their presentation meant to apprehend veterinary prescription both as a medical and economic practice, in order to show that the rise of new tools and knowledge in order to reduce antibiotics (such as tests and audits, alternative medicines, etc.) is strongly related to the developement of new economic models for veterinary businesses (i.e. corporate groups that sell a large range of services). This is one of AMAGRI objectives to understand how the structure of the animal health market (including vet drug market) impacts veterinary practices.
